Assuming you have installed a software recently and you would like to verify if it has installed successfully.

Aftere the installation is complete you should the message 100% completed.  If you would like to verify the installation, then, you can run “swlist” -

# swlist |grep -i “your depot name“

This should give you the out put.

Using swinstall you can install software .depot file(s)/software on hp-ux hosts.

Assuming you have a .depot/software file is under /var/adm/sw directory.

# swinstall -s /var/adm/sw/software_file.depot
